Metal Composite Roofing?

Has anyone had a shake or asphalt roof and upgraded to a metal composite roof (gerard shake, granite ridge)?

Expeirenced any cons of rain amplified, retained heat in the house, and etc?

Today, I received a bid on an asphalt roof and they were saying to stay away from metal composite material, so I would like to hear some feedback.

      The time that will far outlast any shake or comp shingle roof.
      The time that is what you might expect them to say do not know about metal composite but we install standard metal panel roofs all the time that will far outlast any shake or comp shingle roof.
