Another video of an actual roof repair by www.MdRoofingServices.com with a hot roofing tip. “Low Slope” (roofing slopes of less than 4 areas can be a source of interior leaks for shingle roofs — mainly because many roofers just don’t know how to properly install shingles in such a gradual slope situation. In our actual example, the origingal roofer lined the area with aluminum flashing — not a bad thought except for the fact that he “peppered” the flashing with about 200 nails. The result: Interior leakage and drywall damage. Take a look as we take you by the hand, diagnose the problem, and then use Certainteed’s WinterGuard — their “ice and water shield” low slope underlayment — to help fix the leak and solve the homeowners problems.
