If it doesn't feel right don't do it. You should always get more than one bid on any job. Even builder grade shingle last more than 6yrs so I would be skeptical about the whole roof needing to be replaced. If you are a woman you are more likely to get B.S. from some of these guys. You didn't say was this a big Company, places like Home Depot are notorious for saying roofs need replacing, when all they need is a simple patch of a few shingles. I too say go with your gut.
