For most it takes bundles to square for 35 40 and 50 year shingles it is bundles depends on the number of bundles to cover square is bundles to square hope this helps.
For 35 40 and 50 year shingles it is 100 sq ft however the others said square hope this helps.

100 square feet equals a square and generally three bundles of shingles equals one square.
