Don't insulate the underside of the roof as it'll hold moisture in contact with the metal. Any home supply will have a rubberized 'mobile home' paint that can be applied to the topside of the metal to insulate the roof and also prevent rainwater etc. getting through to the underside and it *will* help with condensation on the underside!

If your carport is painted on the underside, all that is necessary is to keep the paint in good condition. A place to watch is where the supports touch the metal cover. Debris and dirt can begin the process of rusting. Keep it clean. Waxing the underside will help alot....like waxing protects your car. It can also give benefit to the top. I wax the top of my outside metal storage building. It's in hot summer sun all summer.
