Has anyone ever used metal roofing as a retaining wall?

We are using T-posts every 8 feet and running 2 rows of 1×4’s to attach the roofing to. I mostly wondered how the metal roofing would hold up to the elements underground or with dirt building up on one side of it. What do you think?
