Has a building ever fallen in NYC due to there being too many layers of roofing?

You are supposed to remove old roofing before replacing it but many old buildings have various layers. Has this ever caused a roof to fall in?

      The load that it would take many many many many many many many many many many layers of roofing as cause my guess.
