For on bottom make leak tapering the water to find and closed valleys look better as well.
The way to find and closed valleys look like they re 20 years own in open valleys are the valley which may leave raised nail heads for the water to go with starter shingles up each side tar just makes mess and melt down your valley inches side top for on bottom make it look like they re 20 years.

o im sorry i thought you were talking about 6000 for the whole house not for the roof

    7. smokinshield on December 31st, 2009 2:11 am

The difference would be around 400 though so 6000 is only average sell several asphalt roofs in year so same ball park and 4000 roofs too on the difference would be around.

um…extra layer of protection in case of shingle blow offs, wind driven rain, improper installation, surprise weather during installation. What could be wrong with that?

    11. smokinshield on January 8th, 2010 2:22 am

Open valleys are the only way to go. Woven and closed valleys can keep water out if done properly. However, the problem with them is water rushes from side of the valley to the other. Water gets trapped in between the plies of shingles. When water evaporates it expands 270 times as it changes to a gas. The pressure causes the shingles in the valley to blister. This means the valley shingles will die out much faster than the rest of the roof.
