my house was built 1890. The original wooden shingles were still under 9 layers of roofing material. the decking is Oak but the decking has spaces in between the wood planks that you can plase your fingers between in the attic. I was suprised to come home on leave and find that I could touch the 3 tab shingles from inside the attic I an concerned that a storm could blow just one shingle off an I would have a flood. My neighbor installed metal roofing on her garage next to my house, within 10 feet of the side of my house(legal setback) in my area, no problem there…..but the roof snaps all day in weather temperature change swings and it is quite annoying. What should I do? I don’t want to be a pest, but it really racks my brain. Sounds like somebody throwing stones at her roof or acorns when the come off a tree onto a metal roof!
