A shingle roof is easily patched should a tree branch of other object put a hole in your roof. A metal roof will dent, bend if hit by a heavy branch,etc. And although a shingle roof if patched will show the difference between old and new shingles, the metal roof will show it much more.
Some homes look good with a metal roof-it depends on the style. To answer your question I would think more people including a bank appraiser would say a shingled roof would have more value.</description>
